General Yan Fengshan, leader of the Tiger Guards, refuses to relinquish power and plots to split the nation and make himself king. He hides his forces in "Soldiers' Alley," waiting for the right moment to strike. With the emperor’s support, Hu Yiáng allies with General Gu Yu, swordsman Ye Zheng, painter Bai Wan, and scholar Xie Ziling.
