Biography:

Halil Efe Kalay (born July 30, 2004) is a Turkish director, writer, and actor. Kalay’s distinctive works, which run the gamut from dramas and absurd comedies to avant-garde experiments, have made him a promising figure in modern Turkish cinema. Kalay writes and directs his own projects, occasionally stars in them, For inspiration, he draws heavily on literature, philosophy, humor, psychology, Konya, and the history of cinema, among many other fields of interest. Developing a passion for filmmaking and storytelling early on, Kalay continues his creative journey with low-budget productions and spontaneous artistic experiments. What began as a simple curiosity has led to projects shared with friends, online audiences. He made his debut on an anthology called PYM (2025)
