Asanali Ashimov is a legendary Kazakh actor, director, screenwriter, and educator. Born on May 8, 1937, in the Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan, he graduated from the Kurmangazy Kazakh State Conservatory in 1961 with a degree in drama acting.
